Complete an
Admissions application
online and begin the admissions process
Submit a
FAFSA
online
after January 1st each year. YCCC’s school code is
031229
and the priority filing date is by May 1st. Students are awarded on a first-come first-serve basis and on the availability of funding.
After your
FAFSA
has been submitted, the YCCC Financial Aid Office (FAO) should receive it and send you a notification within 1 to 2 weeks. Some students may be selected for a process called Verification, or a mini audit of your
FAFSA
application, and you’ll be asked to submit documentation to the FAO in order to complete your file. Once a student’s file is complete, he/she will be awarded on 1st come 1st serve basis, and mailed an award notification offer that the student will be required to act upon. These are the types of financial aid we offer:
YCCC financial aid programs
.
Review your YCCC Financial Aid Award letter and keep track of your financial aid online via MyYCCC or
Netpartner
.
In order to be eligible to receive financial aid, view these eligibility criteria. To assist you in completing the
FAFSA
, and in seeking other scholarship resources, we invite students and parents to use the Finance Authority of Maine’s education website as well as these federal resources .( www.studentaid.gov ). Once on the FAFSA web site, view the "College Scoreboard" where you can compare colleges/universities, view YCCC's financial aid information including, grant information, loan debt upon graduation and repayment rates.
Understanding how to remain in good standing in order to continue receiving financial aid, and understanding what you must do if you have to withdraw from all classes during a semester is important, and additional information can be found on our
Financial Aid Policies
page.
Parents and students are encouraged to use the IRS Data Retrieval tool when completing the
FAFSA
as it may eliminate some documentation we may be requesting from you. Additionally, submitting your information in the
FAFSA
site will ensure security and lessen the possibility of making errors. View this brief
FAFSA
tutorial .
View the Verification and awarding process online in our most recent college catalog.
Students may view their financial aid awards through a secure portal called
Netpartner
