The Facilities Student Worker plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of campus buildings. This position offers a hands-on opportunity for students to contribute to the upkeep of the college's physical environment, while gaining valuable experience in facilities management. The ideal candidate will be dependable, motivated, and willing to take on various tasks ranging from general cleaning to light maintenance and repair work. |
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning & Sanitation: Perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties in campus buildings, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. Tasks may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal. • Painting & Touch-Ups: Assist with painting walls, doors, and other surfaces to maintain the aesthetic appeal of campus facilities. May involve preparation of surfaces, mixing paint, and applying coats as needed. • Basic Maintenance & Repairs: Help with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues (e.g., unclogging sinks), tightening fixtures, and other repairs as directed by Facilities staff. • Setting Up & Moving Equipment: Assist in setting up rooms for events, moving furniture, and arranging spaces for activities as needed by different departments.
• Safety & Organization: Ensure that all tools and equipment are used safely and stored properly. Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or needed repairs to supervisors. : Assist with Other Tasks: Support the Facilities team with various other duties as assigned, which may include helping with seasonal cleaning, outdoor maintenance, or special projects.
